SURGEA – The Surgeon Growth & Education Alliance, Inc.
Purpose
The Corporation is organized and operated exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code as a Public Charity and the Virginia Non‑Stock Corporation Act.
The purposes of the Corporation are to:
(1) advance the education, professional growth, and personal development of surgeons and surgical residents across all specialties;
(2) foster collaboration among medical professionals, educators, and industry corporate executives committed to advancing surgical and medical technologies;
(3) promote awareness and adoption of burgeoning and emerging technologies, including biomaterials, robotics, regenerative medicine, artificial intelligence, digital therapeutics, and surgical simulation;
(4) provide comprehensive educational programs addressing all dimensions of a surgeon’s professional and personal life; and
(5) support research, publications, and outreach that enhance surgical education, patient outcomes, and community health.
